Lennox sets up his camera and stands in the studio space where he may be rehearsing for more upcoming shows. “Hi @Disney I’m Ari Lennox and I would like the opportunity to audition for Princess and The Frog in person. ❤️ Here’s #Hampir Di Sana by Anika Noni Rose,” she captioned the video.
Ari began singing and performing the song in front of a single microphone in a gray skirt and white long-sleeved top. She made a gender appearance with thigh high boots, This is no joke either, she performed the whole song and shared the whole video on IG.
Lennox also danced a bit and at the end hit the long notes that Noni Rose had mastered in her version. The audition was loved by her nearly 2 million followers and the comment section went crazy.

Since posting the video, Lennox’s comment section has gone wild, Everyone wants to see this come true. “YA ARI!!!!!!!!!,” wrote singer and songwriter Jojo. Actress Octavia Spencer also loved the show, she left a red heart emoji there.

While Disney hasn’t shared whether a live-action version of Disney’s first black princess will ever hit the big screen, demand is high! The film came out in 2009, and while it was a big hit for the conglomerate, they didn’t rule out the live-action version as we know it.
It’s probably in discussions behind the scenes, and while that happens, fans are left to hope that the animated musical gets the same treatment as some of the other animated films that live-action versions have been made of.
It’s a shame that this first color Disney princess only appeared in 2009 and since then, there haven’t been any others. At the beginning of the month, One Take News tweet that a live-action version is being discussed.
