In the document, Zucker revealed that he began working at Corday Productions, owned by Ken Corday, around 1998. While performing his duties as a “famous and prominent actor” for the company, he was subjected to severe and ongoing harassment and discrimination, including sexual harassment, by Alarr during his employment.

This behavior allegedly included making inappropriate comments, non-consensual physical touching, and even instances of groping and forced kissing despite complaints from multiple actors, including Zucker, to Corday and HR of Sony Pictures Television — the distributor of “Days of Our Lives, ” the situation reportedly continued unchecked for years.

Corday and Sony’s lack of satisfactory response made the model feel “extremely uncomfortable and violated.” She stated that Alarr’s behavior went beyond making inappropriate comments and unwanted physical touches towards her.

Additionally, he allegedly laughed at anti-Semitic remarks made by other actors, contributing to a hostile environment for Zucker, who is Jewish. The actress also allegedly witnessed Alarr harassing other women and making derogatory comments about them, which left her feeling scared and offended.

He added that his contract was set to expire this January, and when he tried to negotiate the terms of a renewal, he was given a “take it or leave it” offer with no room for negotiation. Despite attempts to negotiate, the offer was rejected, resulting in his dismissal.

This action, which Zucker believes was taken in retaliation against him, has resulted in him experiencing “extreme emotional distress.”

Ultimately, the 49-year-old asked Corday and Alarr to pay “mental and emotional distress damages,” punitive damages, attorney’s fees, restitution, lawsuit costs and pay compensation for unpaid wages.

Zucker’s allegations of misconduct against Alarr are not the first to come to light. The executive producer of “Days of Our Lives” was forced out of the soap after an internal misconduct investigation by Sony in August 2023.

Janet Drucker, a producer on the show since the 1980s, steps into her role as co-executive producer. The show’s cast and crew learned of the leadership transition in a statement released by Corday. Head of Corday Productions shared:

“Effective immediately, Janet Drucker will be promoted to co-executive producer of Days of Our Lives, replacing Albert Alarr, who will be leaving his role. Going forward, we will implement additional HR protocols, including increased HR presence as well as channels to report any concerns. It is important that we have a safe and inclusive workplace environment.”

The leadership transition on the long-running NBC soap opera comes after weeks of public criticism of Alarr’s management of the show.

A report published by US media in July 2023 detailed accusations against the producer-director, including creating a toxic work environment on set and making people feel uncomfortable, among other allegations.

Prior to his tenure on “Days of Our Lives” beginning in 2003, Alarr held directing positions on various soap operas, most notably “All My Children” and “Port Charles.” Besides, Hollywood Reporter indicated that he contributed his directing talents to “Home Improvement” and “The Young and the Restless.”
