According to the Nickelodeon alumnus, starting his career at a young age made him easily swayed by people’s opinions of his appearance. From criticism to beauty tips, the TV personality admits that she used to be unable to tell the difference between good and bad advice.
As a result, she chooses to hide behind her makeup. Instead of letting the public pick on her natural beauty, the “7 Rings” artist disguised herself with bushy hair and heavy eyeliner.
“I have, for years, used makeup as a disguise or as something to hide behind,” admits the Florida beauty, noting that she still loves her old style. However, the 12-time Teen Choice Award winner no longer wants to use makeup as a facade.
“I think as I get older, I don’t like the intention behind it anymore. I consider it an expression of myself now and highlight what is here,” explained the media personality. “Our relationship with beauty is very personal. Like, we’re talking about beauty secrets here.
