In legal court documents obtained by The Blast, the “7 Rings” singer took the risk of filing first, with her attorney Laura Wasser citing irreconcilable differences as the cause of the split. Grande filed first at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles before Gomez filed her response shortly after.
Wasser is a well-known name in the Holly divorce attorney industry. He is currently handling Kevin Costner’s contentious divorce from his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner. He also handled Kim Kardashian’s divorce from Kanye West.
