Ariana Grande isn’t leaving her nearly three-year marriage without making a big payment to her now ex-husband, Dalton Gomez.
The singer-songwriter has been ordered to pay a real estate broker more than $1 million with no future alimony.

The dissolution of Grande and Gomez’s two-year marriage was officially finalized by a Los Angeles Superior Court ruling on Tuesday. The couple, who had a prenuptial agreement, separated a year ago, without any children or major legal problems.
The terms of their divorce were finalized in October, with a six-month waiting period before the judge’s order could be implemented. As reported by Daily MailGrande agreed to a one-time payment of $1.25 million to Gomez, with no future alimony.
The 30-year-old will also give her ex-husband half of the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles home, in addition to covering up to $25,000 of his legal fees. Their divorce petition cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.
How Did Grande & Gomez’s Romance Begin?

Grande and Gomez reportedly started dating in early 2020 but kept their relationship a secret until May of that year amid the pandemic. They announced their engagement on December 20 with a series of photos, including one showing off her engagement ring.
The couple walked down the aisle five months later, in May 2021, in an intimate ceremony held at Grande’s residence in Montecito, California. However, their separation was made public in July 2023, with the “Bang Bang” hitmaker starting divorce proceedings in October of the same year.
Sources revealed that the ex-lovers tried to reconcile their marriage a few months ago, but unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful. It was further alleged that Dalton had traveled to London in January in a last ditch attempt to save their relationship.
Grande deleted all their wedding photos from her Instagram account to emphasize her split from Dalton. She later seemed to be in a romantic relationship with her “Wicked” co-star, Ethan Slater. As The Blast reported in September 2023, insiders claimed:
“Ariana and Dalton have nothing but respect for each other. They are still friends and want to stay that way moving forward. No infidelity, no grudge between them, the marriage didn’t work out. These things happen.”

The romance between Gomez and Grande was further highlighted in a settlement agreement obtained by The Blast last October.
The settlement agreement includes a provision prohibiting the production, disclosure, or publication of any photographs (including associated negatives), tapes, films, or similar recordings, in any form, past or future, depicting activities on or around the property that owned by any party.
Although the agreement does not explicitly detail the content of this recording, it ensures the privacy of Gomez and Grande.
Regarding media involvement, the agreement prohibits Gomez from participating in or assisting in any interview, writing, appearance or collaboration related to the preparation or presentation of any book, article, interview, program or other form of publication about Grande.
Although the paper insisted that the confidentiality provision was designed for the ex’s benefit, viewers assumed that it was in place for Grande’s protection.
Grande’s Divorce Finalization Coincides With Her Album Release

In addition to being officially divorced, Grande has also been in the news for her latest music project, “Eternal Sunshine.”
The album has since climbed the charts thanks to the title track’s lyrics which include a cryptic line addressing the experience of being cheated on by a cheating partner. As if accusing the couple, some lyrics read:
“I’ve never seen people lie like you. So much, even if you start to think it’s true. So now we play our separate scenes. Now, he’s on my bed, lying on your chest. Now I think about it, wondering how it will end.”

With such lyrics, fans quickly concluded that Gomez had cheated on Grande during their relationship and they used X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their disbelief.
“Imagine cheating on Ariana Grande….. Dalton Gomez, may you never know peace,” one disgruntled fan posted, while another echoed, “Imagine cheating on Ariana Grande? Dalton Gomez, you will pay for what you do…the eternal sunshine is amazing.”
A third Grande supporter emphasized, “Ariana Grande dedicated an ENTIRE AMAZING ALBUM to you (post) and how do you thank her? Cheating on her and letting her cry at night without giving—. BYE BYE, BOY BYE. (and f— you).”
Likewise, this social media user declared, “Ariana Grande referred her MARRIAGE to one situation.. caught the guy cheating on her at her house…she’s constantly lying to him that she can’t keep up with her own lies.. turning on the TV so she can’t hearing her cry at night.. Dalton Gomez is trash.”
