Madix called out the former “Real Housewives of New York City” star for interviewing Leviss, saying she should have “known better.”

“Bethenny actually upsets me more in terms of what’s said,” she shared with Shay during a recent episode of the “Scheanigans With Scheana Shay” podcast.

While expressing her displeasure, the reality star described Frankel’s statements about her relationship with Sandoval and his comments about their lack of marriage or children as hurtful and insensitive.

“In many countries, [he was my common-law spouse],” explained Madix. “I think it hurts when it comes to other women in relationships who don’t have children. Maybe they can’t have children or don’t want offspring or don’t want to get married.”

Madix’s comments came after “Vanderpump Rules” co-star LaLa Kent accused Frankel of “exploiting” Leviss on her podcast. Kent voiced his concerns on the “Give Them Lala” podcast, where he also denied Leviss’ claims of being dubbed “reality TV gold” by himself, Katie Maloney and Kristina Kelly.

On the same episode of the podcast, the actress praised Leviss for using the platform to share her story but accused Frankel of exploitation. “Glad that he can finally take advantage of such a giant platform to tell his story,” Kent said. “I just saw the clip, and what I gather from it is that Bethenny completely exploited that girl again.”

Kent went on to criticize Leviss for her involvement with Tom Sandoval while she was with Madix, as she described reality TV as an “intense environment” that can break those who aren’t mentally strong.

She delved into her emotional state at the time, saying, “Looking back now, I can see that I was still recovering from a relationship with someone I thought I was going to marry. And after that, I still haven’t recovered.”

Leviss also admitted to turning to alcohol as a coping mechanism, acknowledging its limitations, “When I was filming, I drank a lot to numb the anxiety, and in the reality TV environment, I didn’t have a safe space for me to express my emotions in a healthy way.”
