Weeks after learning that Tom Sandoval had cheated on her with Raquel Leviss, Ariana Madix is finally addressing the affair scandal. Madix learned of the affair when she read several “inappropriate” messages on Sandoval’s phone while he was performing in Los Angeles.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Madix wrote that she expressed her “heartfelt thanks” for all the love and support her friends, family and fans have shown her “in the past two weeks.” She wrote, “when I feel like I can’t take it anymore, you all have given me the strength to carry on and seen me through my darkest times.”

About a week after the affair came to light, Sandoval issued his first apology on Instagram, admitting the allegations were true. In a second statement, bar co-owner Schwartz & Sandy apologized directly to Madix and “everyone I hurt through this process.”

Sandoval also reflected on his nearly nine-year relationship with Madix, saying he regretted that “things happened in a different order.” He wrote that he hoped their relationship ended “with the same respect for him as it began with him.”
The bar owner concluded the statement with, “I’m very sad that it ended the way it did. The choices I made hurt a lot of people. I acted in a way that contradicted who and how I wanted to be. I will continue to reflect and work on myself. I have work to do. I always have, and I always will.”

A day after Sandoval’s second apology, Leviss shared a statement with Entertainment Tonight, which he then posted to Instagram. In the statement, Leviss apologized to Madix, his friends, and all the fans who were disappointed by his actions.
He wrote, “There is no excuse, I am not a victim and I must own my actions and I am deeply sorry for hurting Ariana. I reflected on my options, talked to a counselor and I learned things about myself like my codependency pattern and my addiction to being and feeling loved.”
Leviss also explained that despite their affair scandal and her relationship with Madix, she still “sincerely” cares for Sandoval.” She wrote, “Knowing how many people we hurt, I need to understand my choices and learn to make better choices.”

Despite their public affairs scandal and breakup, Madix and Sandoval still “live together” in their Valley Village home.
