Aris Hampers started working at WVIC-FM in 1971, where he stayed for a year as a radio host. In 1973, he joined WLAV-FM, where he remained until 1981. WFFX-FM offered him the position of Music Director in 1981. For a year, he worked as Music Director at WFFX-FM. Following that, Aris Hampers worked for WCUZ-FM from 1982 to 1984. He always wanted to work at a radio station. As a result, he returned to WLAV-FM in 1984, this time as Music Director, where he remained until 1990.
He worked at WKLQ-FM for the next eight years, from 1990 to 1998. He previously said that his 7-year tenure at WBFX-FM from 2000 to 2007 was his best. Aris most recently worked at WMAX-FM (‘Radio X’) from 2008 to 2009. He left his job as a radio DJ and started working in other fields.
