Armed dad finds naked drunk intruder throwing toys around daughter’s room: cops

A North Dakota homeowner was awakened by a loud bang in the middle of the night to find a naked and drunk man trashing their daughter’s bedroom, police records show.

The Bismarck Police Department responded to the home on West Bowen Avenue shortly before 3 a.m. Friday and found the male homeowner holding the intruder dressed in a birthday suit at gunpoint, KX News reported, citing an arrest affidavit.

The homeowner told police they were awakened by a loud noise coming from downstairs. The man’s homeowner found the suspect, grabbed his gun and ordered his wife to call 911, according to the Bismarck Tribune.

The couple told police they found the suspect, identified as Alvin Ducheneaux, trashing their daughter’s unoccupied bedroom and throwing toys and clothes around the room. Ducheneaux reportedly told the homeowner he was there to pick up clothes for himself, the Bismarck Tribune reported.

The man reportedly entered the home through an unlocked back door after the family had gone to bed.
