According to documents obtained by The Blast, the controversial actor has filed all the necessary paperwork with the court, declaring he has submitted all the necessary financial information and disclosed everything he needs to settle his divorce.
This is the first push in Call Me By Your Name the star’s divorce from his estranged wife, e Elizabeth Chambers. She filed for divorce in 2020 after several bad habits were revealed about Hammer through his alleged mistress.

Chambers announced that he had left Hammer on Instagram after much speculation. “Thirteen years as best friends, soulmates, spouses, and then parents. It’s been an incredible journey, but together, we’ve decided to turn the page and move forward with our marriage,” he wrote.
The post featured throwback photos of the former couple in their early years. “As we enter our next chapter, our children and our relationship as co-parents and dear friends will remain our top priority,” the post continued.
“We understand this news is appropriate for public dialogue, but for the sake of our children and our families, we ask for privacy, compassion and love at this time.”

Hammer’s court documents were handed over to his estranged wife yesterday. It clearly states: “Respondent’s Final Disclosure Declaration of current Income and Expenses, complete Assets and Debts Schedule, Community and Foreign Property Declaration with appropriate attachments, all tax returns filed by the parties in the two years prior to the delivery of the initial disclosure, and all other necessary information.”

Shortly after Chambers filed for divorce from Hammer, she filed papers asking for joint custody of her two children. At the time, Hammer was still living in LA and insisted that Chambers took the children to the island and had no plans to return.
Other than this little hiccup, there wasn’t much conversation about the divorce. Chambers gave an exclusive interview to Us Weekly, breaking down life with Hammer during the most challenging part of their marriage and being stuck at home because of the pandemic.
“You can give, you can love, you can be there for someone, but you also have to hold people accountable for their actions,” Chambers said. “The dissolution of my family was my greatest fear throughout my life.”
As for Hammer, he has been spotted working remotely, selling timeshares but avoiding the media like the plague.
