Elizabeth Chambers has seen Hammer House doc details the horrific legacy of her husband Armie Hammer’s family. He has now broken his silence in an interview with E!

Elizabeth Chambers Refused to Take Part in Documentary
“I wasn’t planning on watching it, but I dropped the kids off at school one day and came home and watched it with my support system around me,” he said of the Discovery+ documentary that aired in early September.
“It’s obviously heartbreaking on many levels and very painful. But at the same time, it exists. The past is the past and all we can do is take this time as a time to learn and listen and hopefully process and heal in every capacity,” he admitted.

“There are definitely some surprises, and it doesn’t feel great, especially when you feel like you’ve done the work, but the moral of the story is that the work is never done.” Chambers shared that she has gotten the help she needs to be the best she can be for her children throughout this drama and divorce.
She has kept her 5- and 7-year-old children away from the document and any news about it. Pointed out, “It’s not right for them at this time.”
Chamber considers herself a feminist and does not blame women in this scenario. “I consider myself a feminist and stand in solidarity with anyone who has been victimized in any way and hope they find healing.”

He admits that things are rough but it’s gotten rougher so he’s kind of grateful. “I’m not here, like, ‘My life is amazing,’ because it’s been hell for a long time.” She’s not against Hammer though, she shares that they parent well together.
They are now “in a really great place” and “being together as much as possible in a non-romantic way for our kids.”
The documentary emphasized how important the boys were to the Hammer family, Hammer’s aunt stated in the document that he was expendable but the boys were treated like royalty. The couple shares a son named Ford.

“Time does heal, but time alone does not heal. You have to get over it,” she believes. Now she’s more aware of boundaries and how they play into her new relationship with Hammer.
“People are disabled. People make terrible mistakes. Many people change, by the way. For me the whole time it was about, ‘This is my boundary. If you can meet them, then we can take the next step.’ That’s with everyone in my life, but also with myself.”
For Hammer, he’s “focused on his healing” and for Chambers, “the important thing is that he’s the best dad for our kids.”
