A disgruntled cyclist who was hit by Schwarzenegger’s vehicle in February is now suing the movie star for damages and expenses incurred as a result of the accident.

According to the legal document, obtained by Explosion, the woman claimed that Schwarzenegger’s “negligence” caused his vehicle to hit her and cause “severe injuries.” It also alleges that he drove “at an excessive speed and failed to keep a proper lookout.”

The incident that happened earlier this year reportedly saw the female cyclist veer into Schwarzenegger’s lane, but unfortunately, the actor was at top speed and was unable to slow down before causing an impact on the woman’s body.

The female cyclist also claims in her legal filing that Schwarzenegger and his home production company, Oak Productions, “negligently managed, maintained, repaired, drove and/or operated their vehicle” causing the collision and permanent injury to her.

He is now seeking damages, which include “past and future pain and suffering/emotional distress; past and future loss of earnings; past and future loss of earning capacity; past and future medical expenses; future health care expenses past and future; past and future incidental expenses; and past and future household services.”

When the incident occurred in February, reports stated that law enforcement sources claimed Schwarzenegger was innocent and was not speeding.

They also stated that the investigation into the accident had concluded, indicating that there was no way the actor could have stopped the collision from happening.

Photos from the scene also show that Schwarzenegger, an avid cyclist himself, attached the bike to the back of his car and took it to be repaired. The woman, on the other hand, is said to have suffered “minor injuries,” which, in retrospect, contradicts what she claimed in her lawsuit.

Following the crash, law enforcement told the media “The woman made a left turn in front of Arnold before she had a chance to hit her brakes … and she wasn’t going very fast at all.”

While chatting on “The Howard Stern Show,” Schwarzenegger talked about the challenges of aging and his dissatisfaction with his changing body.

He said: “I’m kind of smiling because every day I look in the mirror and say, ‘Yeah, you’re bad.’ Look at this body. Look at those pectoral muscles that used to be taut, strong, and very strong with striations. Now they’re just hanging there. I mean, what’s going on here?”

Schwarzenegger added, “It’s also sad because, as I tell people, it’s one thing to see yourself getting older and less healthy, but most people are never in shape, so what’s the point of being out of shape? They always see s—– bodies, therefore, it becomes s—– as time goes by.”
