The statement read, “It is with deep sadness that we inform you that coach Salavat Yulaev Konstantin Koltsov has passed away. He is strong and cheerful, he is loved and respected by players, colleagues, and fans. Konstantin Evgenievich forever wrote himself in the history of our club.”

They also noted that he coached them to win the Russian Championship and the Gagarin Cup “and did a great job in the team’s coaching staff.”
