Danny Masterson’s friends including “That ’70s Show” co-stars Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis wrote letters of support for the convicted rapist before he was sentenced to 30 years in prison on Thursday.
“As a friend, Danny has been nothing but a positive influence to me,” Kutcher wrote in the letter obtained by The Post.
“He is a very honest and well-intentioned human being.”
Kutcher said he and Masterson, 47, have raised their children together and described his close friend as a positive example who never descended into Hollywood’s decadent drug and booze scene.
“Any time we meet someone or interact with someone who uses drugs, or uses drugs, he makes it very clear that that’s not a good person to be friends with,” Kutcher said.
The warrant was written with the knowledge that Masterson – who was accused at trial of spiking his victim’s drink – would receive between 15 and 30 years in prison.
“While I am aware that the verdict has been handed down as guilty of two counts of forced rape and the victim has a strong desire for justice, I hope that my evidence of her character will be taken into account in sentencing,” Kutcher said.

He also insisted that Masterson did not pose a threat to the community.
Despite the letter of support, the judge chose to sentence Masterson to the maximum sentence for the crime.
Kutcher’s wife, fellow actress Mila Kunis, echoed her husband’s sentiments.
“Danny’s role as a husband and father to his daughter is truly extraordinary,” he wrote. “Watching her interact with her daughter was heartwarming and enlightening.”

Kunis also confirmed her anti-drug stance, calling it a positive influence on those around her.
“In conclusion, I wholeheartedly vouch for Danny Masterson’s exceptional character and the incredible positive influence he has had on me and those around him,” he said.
“Her dedication to living a drug-free life and the genuine care she gives to others make her an incredible role model and friend.”

Masterson’s wife, Bijou Phillips, wrote that his absence from their family would prove devastating.
“We need it more than you can imagine,” he wrote. “I know he has been convicted of a serious crime. But the man I married was just an amazing husband to me and a devoted father to our daughter.”
The actor was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Thursday, to be served consecutively.

Both victims testified at trial that he gave them drugged drinks, then violently raped them when they were unconscious.
