Early Life
Ashutosh hails from Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. He graduated from ECC College, Allahabad. He pursued Masters in Journalism course from Makhanlal Chaturvedi University, Noida. Ashutosh loves to sing, has won the title of the best singer of the college ‘ECC Idol’. In 2006, he was among the top 60 contestants of the singing reality show Indian Idol which aired on Sony TV.

Career
Initially, Ashutosh worked with many local channels. He started his career with the print media and also associated with the Hindi newspaper Amar Ujala. At the same time, editor Uday Sinha inspired him for TV journalism. He later joined sports channel Zee Sports for some time. In 2009, he worked for Azad News and in 2013 for Khabar Bharati.
Ashutosh was part of Zee Sangam and also anchored news for Zee Hindustan channel. He contributes news related to Indian military, politics, terrorist attacks and crime. In 2019, Ashutosh left Zee Hindustan and started working for Republic Bharat news channel. He also reported on land at the time of Cyclone Vayu.
After handling several TV channels, Ashutosh joined Aaj Tak TV channel as editor and news partner in June 2021.
