Ashwanth Ashokkumar was born on Thursday, 15 September 2011 (age 10; in 2021) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He studied at Vani Vidyalaya Senior Secondary and Junior College in Chennai. Ashwanth’s talent was recognized for the first time when he was in grade 1. He got his first chance to be on television in a reality show. Later, his impressive talent made him receive many project proposals for Tamil-language films and television shows.

In 2018, Ashwanth made his debut in the Tamil film industry with the film ‘Sandakozhi 2’ as Sembaruthi’s brother (protagonist). In 2019, he appeared in the horror film ‘Airaa’ as Babloo, Rasukutty in the dark comedy film ‘Super Deluxe,’ as Saravanan (young) in ‘Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu 2,’ as Kutta in the film ‘Thambi,’ and in the film ‘Action ‘ as Ashwanth. He played the role of Arjun in ‘God Father’ in 2020. Ashwanth Ashokkumar made his television debut in 2016 as a contestant on the Tamil reality show ‘Junior Super Star,’ an adaptation of the Hindi reality show ‘India’s Best Dramebaaz.’ He was the winner of each season. In 2017, he appeared as Ashwanth in the television series titled ‘Mella Thiranthathu Kathavu’ (Season 2) aired on Zee Tamil. In the same year, Ashwanth participated in the stand-up comedy and dance reality shows ‘Junor Senior’ and ‘Zee Dance League’ respectively. After appearing as an actor in films and television series, Ashwanth decided to step out as a writer and director amid the nationwide lockdown due to Covid-19, and he made the YouTube series ‘Ondipulli,’ a children’s drama. Everything in this series including story, screenplay, dialogues and voice has been done by Ashwanth. The story focuses on the life of animals in the jungle, where two tigers hunt animals, causing desolation in the jungle. One of the tigers decided to stop this practice of destruction which made the other tigers angry. In ‘Ondipulli,’ Ashwanth tells the story with all the toys arranged to create a forest on screen.
