Atlanta cancer doctor put on leave after post celebrating Hamas’ ‘glory’

An Atlanta cancer doctor has been put on leave after sharing a pro-Hamas Facebook post, in which he celebrated the terror group’s “glory” and wished for “no peace in the stolen land.”

Dr. Abeer N. AbouYabis, who works for the Emory Winship Cancer Institute, took to Facebook this week to say “glory to all the resistance fighters” on his account, which has now been made private.

“I have to say it out loud,” she wrote in a poetic note. “They got the wall, we got the slider / Glory to all the resistance fighters / Palestine is our claim / No peace for stolen land / Not another nickel, not another dollar / We will pay for the slaughter of Israel / Not another nickel, not another dime / We will pay for Israel’s crimes.”

He has been placed on leave from his prestigious post, the institute confirmed to the New York Post.

“We condemn such comments in the strongest possible terms and have placed this individual on administrative leave pending an internal investigation,” spokeswoman Laura Diamond told The Post.

“As we navigate difficult conversations, our expectation is that all members of the Emory community continue to show empathy and treat each other with dignity and respect. There is no place in our community for hate-based language and behavior, which incites violence, and that goes against the values that unite us as health educators and practitioners.”
