Attempted murder suspect pulls bag of cocaine out of rectum after arrest at gas station

A Memphis man wanted for attempted murder removed a bag of cocaine from his anus in front of the police officer who arrested him, according to police.

Memphis police received a tip Thursday that a man with an attempted-murder warrant, Ramone Ivory, was selling drugs outside a gas station, WREG reported.

Officers allegedly saw Ivory engage in several hand-to-hand transactions at the store, which had a “no loitering/trespassing” sign at the entrance, before task forces moved in and arrested him, police said.

He was found with a gun with 14 live bullets in the magazine, a scale and several bags in his pocket, according to police.

Ivory has active warrants for attempted murder and using a firearm with intent to commit a felony.

After he was placed in the back of a police car, he told officers that he had drugs in his rectum.

The officers let Ivory out of the car so he could “dig” for drugs, police said.

He pulled out a white powdery substance – later identified as cocaine – and stomped it on the ground, muttering to police that “it’s 3.4 grams.”

Ivory was charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal trespass, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a firearm.

He is being held in the Shelby County Jail on a $215,000 bond, according to jail records. He is scheduled to appear in court next Monday.
