The details of the settlement are still not disclosed, as neither side has shared any information about it with the media. However, there is a possibility that the amount could amount to several million dollars if the statement issued by Diddy’s lawyer at the beginning of the lawsuit is true.
Immediately after Cassie spoke out about what she allegedly faced from Diddy, the business mogul’s lawyer, Ben Brafman, responded, calling his actions “blatant extortion.”
His statement reads, “For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subject to Ms. Ventura’s constant demands for $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which has been firmly rejected as outright blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now been forced to file a lawsuit full of baseless and outrageous lies, intended to smear Mr. Combs’ reputation and seek a payday.”
Cassie’s attorney, Douglas Wigdor, previously stated that Diddy allegedly offered his client “eight figures to shut him up and prevent the filing of this lawsuit.”
