Aubrey O’Day’s Martin Luther King Day Thirst Trap Post Dubbed ‘Disrespectful’

In a surprising move, Aubrey O’Day’s latest post features her promoting her OnlyFans and paying tribute to the late Martin Luther King Jr.

The combination of selling NSFW content and a tribute to a civil rights activist sparked controversy, with many social media users criticizing it in the comments section of the post.

Social Media Users Express Displeasure Over O’Day Tribute On MLK Day

On Monday, O’Day posted a ten-slide post on social media that showcased her in a beige khaki top that she paired with matching cargo pants designed with sharp cutouts at the sides.

She completed the look with matching boots, a full face of smokey eye makeup, lip gloss, a necklace and a watch. The former Danity Kane member started the slide by striking a fierce pose on the couch while staring straight into the camera.

Next, the blonde singer, who recently spoke out against the justice system, lay back on a sofa, giving viewers a better look at her taut stomach and hips peeking out from her cleavage. Still not done, O’Day alternated between sitting and lying in a chair to take the next shot while maintaining a sullen look at the camera.

To complete the carousel, she included a video teasing her OnlyFans content, featuring her dancing in a bodysuit. The post also included memes of President Joe Biden, Donald Trump, and Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen.

Apparently using the caption to mark MLK Day, which is observed on the third Monday of January each year, O’Day quoted the civil rights leader, “‘Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter.'”

Unfortunately, O’Day’s belief that MLK Jr. will support the sale of his explicit content on Instagram was met with mixed opinions, as one commented, “Using a pic of MLK Jr to promote fans alone is crazy,” and another shared, “WTF?? ?? Stop!!! This is disgraceful behavior .I think it should be expected.”

“How does Martin Luther king have anything to do with this, you guys will do anything for a click or a like. You can’t throw pictures on your insta story?!” a third social media personality asked.

At the same time, a fourth pressed, “How dare YOU use MLK to promote your BS? Girl, WE ain’t kidding about MLK go and put a white boy c— on your ? smh some things you don’t smh.”

The situation escalated for O’Day when fellow content creator Dan Benson posted his thoughts on the 39-year-old using MLK Day to promote his OnlyFans page.

Speak to TMZ, the former Disney Channel star called the act “very disrespectful,” especially since it came from a white woman. He then explained that controversy has become a common strategy for content creators looking for new customers on internet content subscription platforms.

While he acknowledged the dynamic, the “Wizards of Waverly Place” alum, also an OnlyFans model, emphasized that there is a time and a place for such tactics, and MLK Day is not the appropriate event.

Previous Attack On Her Body Prompted Reaction From Aubrey O’Day

In November, O’Day faced a wave of body-shaming comments on her Instagram post, in which she paired an unzipped turtleneck top with a pair of shorts. The ensemble, as noted by The Blast, also included clear heels, gold hoop earrings, a gold watch and eye-catching electric blue eyeshadow.

Captioned “Jean-yuhs,” the upload featured a daring shot of her from behind, prompting one person to suggest, “Instead of getting all your feelings out… maybe work on your pedicure babes.”

O’Day quickly defended herself, responding to criticism: “Leavia doesn’t go out and I don’t have time to go to the nail salon like most women. I’m actually here working on building my dream project. I’m glad you had all the time in the world to do it though congrats!”

Responding to other online users who questioned the need for such a pose, the “Show Stopped” hitmaker explained it as a familiar stage pose from his Danity Kane days. With a touch of humor, he added, “I’ve done every pose ever invented here. Lol.”

Not all of the feedback was negative, as one fan praised her, stating, “Forever Gorgeous Babe,” and a second stated, “The internet is cruel. You got it, flaunt it. You look like fire; don’t let these trolls knock your crown off.”
