Austin Butler just wished his ex-girlfriend, Kaia Gerber, Jacob Elordi the best of luck in the new Elvis Presley movie.
The American actor previously starred in Baz Luhrmann’s version and wishes the Australian well as he portrays the iconic singer. The couple have not spoken regarding the role, although it is thought that their relationship with Gerber would not allow it.
Elordi first dated Gerber in September 2020 and ended their relationship in November 2021. Soon after, Butler began dating model and daughter Cindy Crawford.

The actor shared his thoughts on the new Elvis star during his appearance on the red carpet of the 2023 Golden Globes, which also saw the likes of Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt in attendance.
Butler had already portrayed the iconic singer in Baz Luhrmann’s 2022 film, “Elvis,” eventually winning Best Actor in a Drama on the awards night. Elordi is now set to portray the same role in a similar film to be directed by veteran filmmaker Sofia Coppola.
“I just wish him the best,” Butler told the publication, per Us Weekly, when asked if he had any advice for the 25-year-old “Euphoria” star. “We haven’t spoken yet, but I hope he has a great time.”

Elordi was previously in a relationship with Gerber, but after the breakup, Butler became the new man in her life. It’s likely that Butler and Elordi aren’t communicating because of their relationship with the model, as some fans may have noticed.
