Journalism
Avinash Das has worked with various prominent Indian media houses as a columnist. After completing his higher education, he joined Prabhat Khabar, a daily newspaper as a resident editor and also worked for Patna and Deoghar publications as a proofreader. Later, he joined NDTV India as Output Editor.

Controversy
In July 2022, he courted controversy when he was arrested by the Mumbai police for posting a controversial picture of Amit Shah with IAS officer Pooja Singhal, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case in May 2022, about him. Facebook page. A Police Sub Inspector (PSI) with the crime branch filed an FIR against Avinash at the Ahmedabad Police’s Crime Branch (DCB) on 13 May 2022 for publicizing the photograph, which was clicked in 2017 during a public event in Ranchi.
