The 31-year-old did an interview where he shared that he has many regrets about his career but didn’t get here alone.

“I have stolen my royalties and all kinds of illegal stuff. Like, there was one time I was so f*ck*ng broke that I slept in the storage room. You know, famous and broke,” he says candidly about his experiences early on.

“There was a time when people wouldn’t book me,” he remembers. The artist has shared some time ago that he has been diagnosed as Bipolar and believes it is his right to share this diagnosis to make people aware of the battle and what can be done to people and has been done to him.

The actor said, “I can be a little messy,” referring to some of his more forceful public missteps such as using a gay slur, claiming he wanted to “spray a gay guy in the face with pepper spray,” and comparing the LGBTQ community to the KKK.

“Everybody makes a bad joke sometimes,” he said, describing the behavior. “Like, who cares? Quentin Tarantino gets paid $500 million to make really bad jokes all the time, you know? Come on. Let me run my mouth.”

The recording artist, who is currently signed to Warner Records shared that due to his upbringing, the delivery of things is sometimes not always the best. “I was raised by Dominican guardians. My mom would throw them a few thousand dollars and just disappear for five weeks,” he recalls.

He also shared that his father died of pancreatic cancer when he was only 2 years old. At the age of 10, she realized her mother was not like other mothers and soon discovered she was mentally ill.

The singer admitted, “I would just be in my head, like, ‘Does my mom not want me anymore? Is she back? Is she still alive?'” a tough thought process for a child who has poured into in his adult life.

When her mother was around, she would say scary things and startle Azealia. “He would brag about how he did magic and killed my dad,” she recalled of one of those moments. Azealia admits there is a lot to work on but is proud of the changes she has made over the years.

Although he has had public disputes with many different celebrities such as Cardi B, he believes that he deserves another chance. However, it may not be celebrity flesh that is holding him back, perhaps his on-stage demeanor during his last few performances.

During a show in Miami, he threw down his mic and stormed off without finishing his set, now we’re sure he got paid. Azealia promised she would try to curb this outburst.

“I think a lot of that early indoctrination, especially during my foundation years, followed me into the music industry — where you’d see me lashing out at people and, like, being mean.”

He insists that always being labeled as a “bad guy:” makes him a good person and he doesn’t know how to accept praise for what they do. He knows he acts badly no matter the situation. Now he is redeeming all eras.
