Baby nicknamed ‘McFlurry’ after mom gives birth in McDonald’s parking lot during snowstorm

A Wisconsin mother named her newborn son “McFlurry” after she gave birth in a McDonald’s parking lot in the middle of a snowstorm, according to Fox News Digital.

Analysia Beck, of Muskego, felt contractions in the middle of the night on January 12 – two weeks before her due date – and woke her husband to tell him to pack the car to the hospital.

“So I had him call the hospital and the hospital, of course, asked all these questions, and they asked what my plans were for being sick, and I [responded]’Epidural right away’,” the expectant mother told the outlet.

But little “McFlurry” — whose real name is Micah Daniel Beck — couldn’t wait until they got to the medical center.

Beck, who has two older children, knows they won’t make it in time.

“I was like, ‘No, like, it’s happening now. We need to back off,’” he said.

The couple pulled into the parking lot closest to them, at McDonald’s, and Beck jumped into the trunk of their SUV, ready to push off.

“Halfway through, I was just lying in our trunk, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh. This happened at McDonald’s … I can’t believe it,” Beck said of the situation.

The couple called 911, but by the time paramedics arrived in the Golden Arches parking lot, baby Micha was already covered — all as snow began to fall, eventually totaling 15 inches in Muskego.

“As soon as I knew the paramedics were there, I refused… [and] within minutes, they ran in and grabbed the baby,” said the mother of three.

The combination of winter weather and a McDonald’s parking lot inspired the new baby’s nickname “McFlurry”. Other options include “Mickey D’s,” “McBaby” and “Small Fry,” according to Fox.

The atypical birth was quite an experience for Beck — but also for the first responders who showed up in the blizzard.

First responder Brianna Baltutis, with the Hales Corners Fire Department, told the publication that she only expected to transport the mother to the hospital when she and her partner were dispatched — not to witness the birth in the parking lot.

“We got there and we thought we’d get her loaded and to the hospital, before she actually delivered the baby,” he said.

Baltutis, 20, said he was thrilled to be a part of Beck and the “McFlurry” story.

“To me, there are people who will be in the fire service for 30-plus years and they’ll never have a baby, so I think that’s really cool,” he said.

The young paramedic said it was also a great moment because often the jobs he calls don’t have happy endings, according to Fox.
