Former “Bachelor” star Genevieve Parisi recently took to Instagram to share screenshots of some of the messages she received from online trolls. “Sorry ugly, get as many filters as possible and get off TV dude realty looks awful on you,” the user wrote in one of the network’s first messages.
“You are a hypocrite and everyone has told you so many times,” another message read, with one of the final DMs reading, “You are a joke of a woman and I hope to see you cry in the next episode.”
The message comes after Genevieve Parisi ended her time on the latest season of “Bachelor in Paradise,” where she and Aaron Clancy had one of the most talked about relationships — with some fans even calling it toxic.
The reality television star shared a comment on her Instagram Story before speaking out about it. “I wanted to share that in hopes of changing at least one person’s mind from sending hateful messages to strangers,” he began writing. “Those messages used to hurt me so much, I would take everything personally and start questioning and judging myself.”
“Now it usually makes me laugh because some of the messages are so ridiculous,” he said. “And when you think about it, it’s really sad how unhappy those people are to get to that point. So I feel pretty lucky.”
Parisi ended by thanking her fans for their support, “Anyway, thanks for listening and I appreciate everyone’s kindness & your messages.”
