Bachelor Nation’s Gabby Windey and Erich Schwer have officially split.
The couple’s relationship status was questioned on social media earlier this week, following Windey’s post-show interview for “Dancing With The Stars.”
The Blast covered the interview in which Windey was asked if he and Schewer had broken up, and the 31-year-old did not directly answer the question.
Windey told a Fox News reporter, “I think, um, life is very busy for us right now, so I understand their concerns, but we’re just, you know, moving on with our own individual interests and supporting each other from afar,” he said.
Windey’s interview came after some Bachelor Nation fans noticed the former couple didn’t post much about each other on social media.
According to our report published on Wednesday, November 2, prior to the breakup news, Windey had not posted any Instagram photos featuring Schwer in two weeks.
Schwer’s latest Instagram post from October 20 was a set of photos of the 29-year-old catching some waves while surfing, and many users noticed that Windey was nowhere to be seen.
Bombard Schwer Fans Comment On Instagram With Questions About His Relationship
Windey and Schwer’s relationship has been a frequent topic of discussion on Bachelor Nation since the climax of “The Bachelorette” aired in September.
Before the final, Schwer’s ex-girlfriend came out of the woodwork with a screenshot of a text message in which Schwer had asked her to wait for him while he filmed.
The text also claims Schwer wants to continue the show for “more career opportunities” according to our report on the text.
A portion of the “After The Final Rose” special was dedicated to covering the text, with host Jesse Palmer asking Schwer to offer his perspective on his actions.
She explained to Palmer that her actions could be attributed to a lack of communication and was hesitant to deal with the anxiety of breaking up with her ex.
“I don’t see the future, but we’re having fun, and it’s easy to have fun instead of making the hard decision to tell him it’s not long-term,” Schwer explained, “I think this is all proof that I’m the last person ever expected to be on the show this…”
The interview inspired a sense of laser-focused attention on their relationship that seems to be going strong a month later in the comments section of Schwer’s Instagram.
“I don’t think doing ‘DWTS’ is a good idea after being single you need time together to build your future and that takes a lot of time,” wrote one commenter on Schwer’s aforementioned set of Instagram photos. They also wrote, “You have something so beautiful and worth fighting for. I hope it’s a break and not a breakup.”
Windey And Schwer Confirm Their Split Amid Speculation
Windey’s post-‘DWTS’ interview may have been a hint as to the state of the former couple’s relationship status, but she didn’t give any concrete confirmation at the time.
Concrete confirmation is soon to come from Windey and Schwer after the two confirmed to People magazine that their relationship is no more. They have not issued a public statement as of this writing.
Bachelor Nation fans, however, aren’t running out of things to talk about on social media regarding the breakup!

The exact answer may be fuzzy to reveal, but the current ‘DWTS’ contestant is dipping her toe in the single water at least!
Of course, there is no better way to heal from a breakup than to be surrounded by those who care about you; Windey certainly has a supportive friend in ‘Bachelor’ season partner Rachel Recchia, who is also single.
The two confirmed that they are ready to take on the world after Recchia posted a new photo of the two of them together via her Instagram story on Friday night.
The 26-year-old, who memorably split from her first choice Tino Franco after a bumpy road to the altar that involved skeptical parents and a brief engagement, captioned the post “Back to the streets,” according to Us Weekly!
The outlet also reported that Windey was previously seen without an engagement ring on “Dancing With The Stars” earlier this week.
