A Chicago man is suing dozens of women for $75 million after they posted negative comments on the “Are We Dating The Same Guy” Facebook page that described him as “very clingy” and a ghost.
Nikko D’Ambrosio, 32, claims his reputation was tarnished after his name and photo were shared in a Chicago edition of Facebook group late last year – sparking a flurry of defamatory comments about him, according to a complaint filed earlier this week.
The private Facebook group, which originated in the Big Apple, is part of a wider network of pages where women regularly share information about negative dating encounters they’ve had in their respective cities and ask for advice on “red flags.”
D’Ambrosio said he first met the woman who made the original post at an event in Chicago last year and they had consensual sex that same night, the filing said.
The couple later went on several “unusual” dates, according to D’Ambrosio, but they “never engaged in an exclusive dating relationship.”

He claims the woman then took to a Facebook group to spread lies about him – including that he became “very clingy very quickly,” flaunted his money and “kept talking about how I didn’t want to see the bad side of him, especially when he was on a business call.”
D’Ambrosio claims the woman initially shared the post under her real name, but deleted and reposted anonymously after her lawyer contacted her last month.
The post then sparked a flurry of comments from other women who claimed they had similar encounters with her, or had seen earlier warning posts about her obvious red flags, the complaint alleges.

“I went out with him a few times over a year ago — he told me what I wanted to hear until I slept with him and then he was a ghost… I would avoid,” one woman commented, according to a screenshot included in the filing.
“He was stationed here before. The poster said he sent her a lot of texts calling her name because she didn’t want to spend the night with him,” another woman wrote.
D’Ambrosio’s lawsuit targets 27 named women, including the group’s moderator, as well as several Jane Does and various parts of Facebook’s parent company, Meta.

He is seeking $75 million in damages because he was the victim of defamation, doxxing and invasion of privacy, according to the suit.
“The defendants published their outrageous, vicious and malicious lies about the plaintiff with the knowledge that the statements were false or with reckless disregard for whether or not they were true,” the complaint said.
