Bali deports, blacklists tourist after video of ‘immoral’ sex act in front yard goes viral

An Italian tourist has been deported and blacklisted from Bali after security footage of a sexual act in front of a house in Seminyak went viral on social media.

Balinese immigration officials this week confirmed the man, identified only by the initials LS, was deported on Sunday “based on a recommendation letter from the police” for “immoral conduct” with an unidentified woman.

The 35-year-old was granted a Visa on Arrival at Bali Airport on September 4, which will expire on October 3.

The head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Sugito, said he was sent home using Malaysia Airlines where he will fly from Denpasar to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, before boarding a Qatar Airways flight to Doha in Qatar, and then Doha to Rome, Italy.

“The person involved will be subject to Immigration Administrative Action (TAK) in the form of deportation and the person’s name will be included in the prevention list,” Sugito said in a press release, according to an English translation.

An article on the Indonesian National Police website says LS’s name can remain on the “immigration blacklist” for six months, and then be extended for six months at a time.

The foreigner, who was staying at a hotel in Kuta, was allegedly out drinking at a nightclub on September 9 when he met the woman, and they agreed to find a hotel, local media reported, citing police.

A local resident later reportedly caught the couple in front of his house after his dog kept barking.

“It turned out when we checked the CCTV, they were having sex,” said his wife, Ayu Purwita to detikBali.

He claimed the couple jumped over a fence and ran away, but police later identified LS on security footage and arrested him.

The woman is understood to be an Indonesian citizen and has not been arrested.

More than 200 people have been deported from Bali in the first eight months of the year, including 12 Australians, compared to 188 over the past year.

Meanwhile, tourists also consider the list of Bali dos and don’ts released recently with many in favor of the hotspot campaign to crack down on unruly foreigners.
