In a recent Instagram post, Park opened up about her near-death experience while in Thailand. The actress shared that she was in “excruciating pain” and confused before eventually going into “intensive care.”

Sharing her struggle alongside a photo from her hospital bed, Park wrote: “As I sit here processing and recovering from the first few weeks of 2024, the only word I can think of is gratitude.”

He continued, “While on vacation in December until New Year’s, what started as tonsillitis progressed into critical septic shock, which infected and affected several of my organs. I am thankful that my health is improving despite what I was initially told.”

She credits him for calming her fears and being by her side through an ambulance ride, a foreign hospital, an ICU stay, and more, writing: “You calmed my fears and held me through an ambulance, three foreign hospitals, a week in the ICU, a scary ER, scans and countless tests and injections, excruciating pain, and much confusion while we were alone on the other side of the world away from those we knew. I love you, Paul. More than I can say.”

Confessing love for Forman, she added, “I can’t believe we spent our first week of 2024 in the ICU and the hospital. I am most blessed to have you Paul… by my side through the painful and scary parts of life and the joys.”

The “Joy Ride” star also thanked “every ICU doctor and nurse who worked tirelessly” before adding that she was hesitant to share what happened because “I’m still in recovery… but I know now that I safely on the other side of the worst.”

However, he reassured his friends, family and fans, adding: “I love you all. I’m on the mend and I promise I’ll be fine.”

The “Beef” actor shared with Shape magazine, “Once the cancer physically left my body, I made it my mission not to let it affect my life. I don’t want it to define me. People were so worried about me, and I became the person who was like, ‘I’m fine. Don’t worry about me. I’m going to go after what I want and just do it.’”
