follow InsiderAffleck, 50, and Damon were pretty much inseparable when they started out as actors in Hollywood because they shared and did a lot together.
During her recent appearance on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” the “Pearl Harbor” star revealed that they share an apartment in Los Angeles with her brother, Casey Affleck, and that Damon isn’t particularly clean.
Affleck shared that Damon barely picked up the bills when they lived together, and he didn’t even clean and tidy the apartment.
“We live in the same house. It’s easier. Also, Matt has never paid a bill to this day that I know of. Like, ‘Why aren’t the lights working?’ I was like, ‘Yeah because the utility company needs money to finance our electricity,'” he said.
Affleck added, “Matt is a beautiful person. I love him. He’s my best friend. He has been great to me all my life. He is a brilliant guy… I wouldn’t suggest living with him. Because he has the ability… Have you ever known someone who gets in the way? I think he’s a great actor because he can focus, you know what I mean?”

Affleck continued by revealing that he and his brother had to go on a temporary “strike” to provoke Damon to turn over a new leaf, but their efforts proved futile.
“One of the things he was against was the idea that when you’re done with something, it has to be washed or thrown away,” she shares.
He continued, “So, finally, me and my brother, after cleaning up after that guy for years, we were like, you know what? We’re going to do a sit-in. We’re just going to wait and see how long he goes before he woke up and said: ‘God, I’m covered in garbage!'”
Affleck stated that their plan didn’t work out as he and his brother had hoped for as he and his brother left for a while only to come back and see maggots everywhere because Damon still hadn’t cleaned up.
“We were like, ‘We’re down. We’re giving up. You’re too good. We can’t beat you.’ He was just like, ‘Hey, what’s going on, guys?’” Affleck said.
“God bless his wife, Lucy. There is a place for you in heaven,” he joked.

Damon previously shared that he and Affleck had to survive their early days as up-and-coming actors using a joint bank account they opened in high school.
“As long as one of us has money, we know the power will never go out,” Damon shared during a recent appearance on “The Bill Simmons Podcast.”
“I remember after doing ‘Geronimo,’ f*ck, I had maybe 35 grand in my checking account, and I was like, we’re good,” Damon said, per Insider. “We were good for a year.”
The actress stated that she and Affleck helped each other out by using money in their joint accounts to go to auditions and trips to New York.
“You’re allowed to go to New York with that money,” Damon said. “You’re allowed to withdraw $10, get a quarter, go to the arcade, and play video games. Finally, we were allowed to try buying beer, which never worked.”

During his appearance on the show, Corden asked Affleck if he had “ever been cut from” a project throughout his career.
The “Argo” star jokingly recounted several jobs she was “fired” from her youth because she was a delinquent teenager before recounting her “bad” experience on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
Affleck shared that he initially thought certain lines in the film were good but had to change his stance when he saw them on TV.
“I feel it. I felt really scared,” shared the actor. “And then I saw the movie with friends … and it sounded so different. And I realized then that they were re-recording my line.”
“I am very bad. They need me to be on the scene, but the director [Fran Rubel Kuzui] clearly [was like], ‘I can’t hear that voice anymore!’” he continued. “They had to pay someone to come in and say, ‘Hey man, take it.’ Because apparently, I can’t say it convincingly enough.”
