Over the weekend, the fifth annual WACO Theater Wearable Art Gala was held, and the creme de la creme of black Hollywood was in attendance, including Beyoncé, her husband Jay-Z, and their daughter Blue Ivy.
WACO Theater (Where Art Can Occur) was founded by Queen B’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, and her husband, Richard Lawson, to help fund theater arts and youth mentoring programs. The Wearable Art Gala, which helps with fundraising, resumes for its fifth edition after a two-year hiatus due to COVID, and it’s a hit!
However, the highlight of the event was the news that the first few tickets from the upcoming Renaissance tour will be auctioned for huge prices!

For the prestigious event, whose theme for the year was “Harlem Nights celebrating fashion from the 1920s to the 1950s,” the stars came out in their brilliant costumes. Always in the spotlight, Beyoncé’s appearance at the Wearable Art Gala was no exception.
The Queen took her breath away in a bold black strapless glitzy Gucci gown featuring a corset-like bodice and white bra cups with two sparkling star embellishments, perhaps representing the singer’s hometown of Texas. The gorgeous dress features a long flowing train and hugs the iconic curve in all the right places.
Beyoncé accessorized the gorgeous gown with a pair of pink satin gloves, a chic black clutch from Dolce & Gabbana, and statement earrings from Lorraine Schwartz. Her honey blonde hair was styled to give her thick curls that took fans back to the 50s.
At the event, Beyoncé’s 2023 Renaissance world tour concert package was auctioned for $20,000. As seen in viral footage and photos from the gala, a slideshow presentation details what the expensive package is.
“Worthed at a total of $20,000, United X WACO offers you the opportunity to see Beyoncé on her Renaissance Tour beginning in the summer of 2023 at any of United’s national and international destinations around the world.”
The posted statement further explains that the package includes two United Airline Polaris international First Class tickets to select cities in addition to a 3-night hotel reservation at a Marriott property. In addition, two tickets to Beyoncé’s tour will be given away along with a guided backstage tour by the one and only Knowles-Lawson.

Following the announcement, a bidding war began at $50,000, with actresses like Vivica A. Fox making big gains. Although unconfirmed from the WACO Theater, a social media user who attended the gala claimed the package ended up being auctioned for $150,000.

Even the auction of the concert package confirms that Beyoncé will definitely be touring next year, even though she hasn’t officially announced it yet. Page Six initially announced that the Renaissance tour was coming, with sources telling the publication that the “Alien Superstar” singer and his team have already booked stadiums around the world.
