Beyoncé’s Daughter Blue Ivy Shocks Guests With HEFTY Bid For Diamond Earrings

Beyoncé and Jay Z’s ten-year-old singer, Blue Ivy, bid more than $80,000 for a pair of diamond earrings during a charity art event. The Grammy-winning duo married in April 2007 and, nearly three years later, welcomed their first child together, Blue. Their twins, Sir and Rumi, were born in July 2017.

Although the famous family is known to lead an intense private life, they have attended every iteration of the event hosted by Tina Knowles. In the 2018 gala, Blue bid nearly $20,000 for a painting; however, he lost to Tyler Perry.

This year, Blue went to work bidding again, but with a much higher amount. While Perry was in the audience, the filmmakers weren’t the ones stealing her thunder this time.

Blue joined her parents, Grammy-winning artists Beyoncé and Jay Z, at the Los Angeles 2022 Wearable Art Gala, held on October 22. The 10-year-old was not just an auctioneer; he also made a bid that soared above an astonishing $80,000 for the highest ticket of the night.

A clip of the event was shared by “Abbott Elementary” star Quinta Bronson on the writer’s Instagram story. The actress cheered Blue on as she, under her parents’ watch, bid on a pair of Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings.

Although the diamond earrings previously belonged to Beyoncé, it was her mother, Tina Knowles, who had the jewelry on the night. Tina is a co-founder of the WACO Theater Center and event organizer. He was also the honorary chair during the gala.

Blue Ivy Lost Bid

Bronson’s video begins with Keke Palmer asking people if they’ll give up the item for $80,000. He said, “$80,000, you’re going to let him take it? $80,000, one go. $80,000, go twice and —.” The 10-year-old cut her off mid-sentence when she leapt from her seat and waved her panel.

Bronson, from behind the camera, said, “Blue! He’s very rich,” after Blue made the offer. However, she was eventually defeated by Monique Rodriguez and her husband, Melvin. The founder of Mielle Organics made a high bid of $105,000 and beat out Blue for diamond earrings that once belonged to her mother.

For the event, Biru wore a blue suit paired with a strand of pearls and a beautiful feathered headband. The WACO Gala was held to raise money for the WACO Theater Center and was attended by several A-list celebrities.

The event is themed “Harlem Nights,” celebrating the fashion of the 1920s through the 1950s. Blue was accompanied by his father, who wore a velvet tuxedo jacket with a white shirt with a black tie, trousers and black patent leather dress shoes.

Beyoncé also made a rare appearance at the event and wore a strapless custom-made Gucci mermaid gown with embellished stars around the bust. The “Single Woman” artist wrapped up the look with a pair of pink opera gloves with ruffles on the shoulders, a Dolce & Gabbana clutch purse and a pair of contrasting Lorraine Schwartz earrings.

Blue Ivy Once Bids $19,000 For One Item

This isn’t Blue’s first rodeo to bid on an item. In 2018, at just six years old, he bid $17,000 during the previous iteration of the gala. He attended the event with his parents again; however, the item he was interested in at the time was not jewelry.

The 10-year-old wanted to buy an acrylic painting of a younger version of Sidney Poitier. Blue ended up going higher in his bid to $19,000, much to the chagrin of Jay Z, who jokingly tried to stop him from raising that amount. The item was eventually won by Perry, who bid $20,000.

Despite the loss, the 10-year-old returned home with something. Through Vanity Fair, Blue placed a $10,000 bid on a piece of art created using deconstructed laws and medical books. He won a 36″ x 36″ piece of art.
