Unfortunately, that plan never materialized, Page Six learn
At this point, it’s unclear why Beyoncé’s request to Spears failed. Spears famously collaborated with Elton John on a remix of his 1972 hit, “Tiny Dancer,” last year.
Elton and Spears released a visual music video for “Hold Me Closer,” last year, and Spears even called the opportunity an honor.
This is the first time in years that the “Slave 4 U” singer has released new music.

Britney’s Social Media Activity Worries Fans!
Explosion recently reported the singer’s claim that she did NOT attend this weekend’s birthday party with Paris Hilton.
It’s all very strange.
There’s been a conspiracy theory floating around the web for the past few months that claims the 41-year-old pop star is actually dead due to the amount of old photos and videos she’s been posting.
Fans were relieved when reports came in over the weekend that Spears had actually stepped out for Cade Hudson’s birthday party, but on Monday, January 9, the “Toxic” singer took to Instagram to claim that the photos were “from last year .”
On Monday night, the “Hold Me Closer” singer took to Instagram to share a 42-second clip featuring her posing in a strapless red dress and tiny red skirt. The crop top reads “Coca-Cola” across the top in her signature white lettering.
“Sorry about my post yesterday without music ? !!! That was horrible ??? … oh well !!!” Britney began, referring to one of her deleted dance videos. “Here I am going through my closet to realize the clothes I never wear!!! I’m a practical shopper but I was really surprised by the closest thing and I found !!!”
He then moved on to a topic of interest: birthday party photos.

Hilton on the other hand disagrees with Spears’ theory.
He’s been criticized for Photoshopping BS into the picture, but he insists he didn’t!
Hilton went on to explain that the photo was taken over the weekend and she used a filter app to smooth it out.
