Bhumi Pednekar was born on 18 July 1989 (age 34; in 2023) in Mumbai. He attended Arya Vidya Mandir School Mumbai and went to Communication & Media Arts, Mumbai to complete his studies. However, Pednekar was expelled from the institute due to poor attendance. Next, he enrolled at the University of Mumbai to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.). Bhumi wanted to be an actress since she was 12 years old. At the age of 18, he came to know about a vacancy at Yash Raj Films. Excited by the idea of being around cinema, he applied for the position. Initially, she was rejected for the position, but, after a month, Bhumi was called to join as an assistant casting director at Yash Raj Films. Bhumi served as an assistant casting director for six years before venturing into acting.

Career
Bhumi made her acting debut in 2015 with the romantic comedy “Dum Laga Ke Haisha.” She played the role of Sandhya Verma, a chubby girl, and her performance in the film was praised. In the same year, he appeared in the web series “Man’s World.”
In 2017, He starred in Shree Narayan Singh’s “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha”. The film was a commercial success.
Next, she appeared in the comedy drama “Shubh Mangal Savdhan,” opposite Ayushmann Khurrana.
