President Biden’s re-election campaign surpassed the Trump campaign’s follower count on Truth Social two days after launching on the GOP front-runner’s own platform.
Biden-Harris 2024 now has about 29,300 followers compared to Team Trump’s 24,800.
Former President Donald Trump himself remains top dog, with 6.4 million followers on the platform built for him after his 2021 estrangement from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, now known as X.
Trump, 77, was given the boot following the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021, but has since been allowed to return home.
Truth Social is dominated by Trump followers and watchers who are interested in what the former president has to say.

“There’s a little ‘truth’ going on at Truth Social, but at least now it’s going to be a little fun,” a Biden campaign aide told The Post when the BidenHQ account opened Monday.
In May, a Biden campaign official told an Axios reporter that it will absolutely not join Truth Social. But on Monday, the campaign told the same channel: “We changed our minds.”
Since joining the platform, the Biden campaign has skewered Trump and Republicans while promoting the incumbent president.

The Trump campaign issued a warm version of Biden’s welcome.
“Crooked Joe Biden and his team are finally admitting that Truth Social is hot as a gun and the only place where real news happens,” spokesman Steven Cheung told The Post.
“Unfortunately for Biden, his continued spreading of misinformation to fire up the American people to distract from his poor record will not work and they will count as oblivion.”

Truth Social is led by former Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) and bills himself as a free speech platform.
Trump and Biden are the 2024 front-runners in their respective parties’ polls and are now dead even at 43.9% in the latest RealClearPolitics polling average.
