The Grammy-winning artist is in a relationship with the Neighborhood lead singer after speculation that they were dating. After months of announcing their romance, the “Happier Than Ever” singer opened up about her relationship with the pop artist.

In a recent annual interview with Vanity Fair, the 20-year-old singer opened up about her romantic life. The AMA winner was asked if she had a boyfriend. Before he answered, a clip showing his reply in the previous interview played on the side of the screen.
In 2017, she said, “no, I don’t like dating at all.” In 2018, the answer was still “no,” but that changed in 2021, as he answered “yes.” However, she said the relationship with actor Matthew Tyler Vorce was over. In his words:
“I feel very grateful for the relationship I found last year, and I think he’s happier now, which makes me happy.”
When asked if she currently has a boyfriend, the “Ocean Eyes” singer replied, “yes, I do, and it’s great, I’m very happy and excited.” He went on to say, ‘I’ve made it to a point in my life where I’m not only recognized by someone who I think is the hottest fucking king alive but pulling his dog! are you kidding Can we just [get a] clap for me?’
After the applause fell silent, the billboard artist declared, “I’m pulling his a**! All of me! I did that s**t! I locked that bastard up!” Eilish further revealed her love language in her relationship. She explained, “I just need to touch skin all the time. Touching, hugging, and cuddling, anything to do with skin is a big thing for me.”
Additionally, the Teen Choice Award winner detailed that she loves her freedom. “And besides, just freedom. You know, I don’t want to be controlled. I want to be trusted, and I want to have space, and I want love and attention and the same admiration is very important,” she revealed.
Fans will remember that the newlyweds kicked off their relationship on the red carpet at Saturday’s 11th Annual LACMA Art + Film Gala dressed as twins. The Blast shared that the two made an epic entrance to the event, with the two in each other’s arms while covered in a large Gucci blanket. Afterwards, they removed the blanket to reveal the entire ensemble.
Eilish rocked a printed Gucci nightgown with lace detailing at the hem, which she paired with a similarly patterned robe, while Rutherford opted for a shirt and panty set in the same print and color.

Eilish’s red carpet debut comes weeks after their somewhat tumultuous Instagram debut. According to a report from The Blast, it follows the singer sharing a series of photos on his Instagram featuring his and his lover’s Halloween costumes.

The pair apparently joked about the 11-year age gap between them, with Eilish at 20 and Rutherford at 31; however, many fans thought it was inappropriate, and they lashed out at the artist in the comments. “Life is craaaaaaaaaaaazy?,” the songwriter captioned the post.
One fan wrote, “Smart girl, this is no joke. Why isn’t he with people his own age? Just think about it. It’s weird, not weird,” while another pointed out,” *writes a song about age and power dynamics* *mocks it with a Halloween costume*.” One critic claims that as Eilish gets older, she will realize that she has made a huge mistake because a 31-year-old man should not be with a woman his age.
Other users have suggested that the image borders on pedophilic themes. “Do you really think pedophilia is something you joke about and actively promote?” an angry user asked. Although several negative comments continued to pour in, Ellish did not give any response.
