Black family’s Mustang allegedly vandalized with racial slur and swastika

A black family living in Los Angeles was horrified to find their Ford Mustang defaced with racial slurs and a swastika during the holidays.

Reginald Scott, who has lived in the San Pedro neighborhood for 20 years, told station KTLA that his sports car was allegedly vandalized between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

The unidentified hate-monger used black spray paint to scribble the words “Merry Christmas n—-r” in large letters on the right side of the red Mustang.

A swastika was painted on the car’s bumper and its tires were also slashed.

“I can’t believe this happened to me in San Pedro,” Scott said.

The victim suspects the reported racially motivated vandalism may have been retaliation for parking his Mustang in front of someone’s home.

“Even if you’re parked where you shouldn’t be, I don’t think it gives you the right to spray paint someone’s car and call them a racial slur,” said Scott’s 12-year-old son. “That hurts.”

The alleged victim says this is not the first time her property has been targeted by unknown criminals.

About two years before that, another vehicle owned by Scott was reportedly set on fire.

The married father of one said repeated incidents of alleged sabotage had caused his wife to fear for the safety of their family.

“He didn’t want the door open,” Scott said. “He’s quite alert.”

The Scott family is now thinking of leaving San Pedro forever and has launched a GoFundMe asking for donations to help them with the move.

“Having racial slurs spray painted on the family vehicle is humiliating, humiliating and difficult to explain to my son. We, too, no longer feel safe,” read the description of the fundraiser.
