Chicago’s Black Lives Matter chapter came under fire for seeming to celebrate Hamas attacks on Israelis in a “disgusting and shameful” social media post on Tuesday.
The post on X, formerly Twitter, included an image of someone paragliding with a Palestinian flag attached to his parachute with the words “I stand with Palestine” underneath.
“That all!” it adds.
The text clearly refers to Hamas terrorists who attacked Israeli communities with parachutes and gliders over the weekend, killing hundreds and taking civilians hostage in brutal surprise attacks.
BLM Chicago also posted several cartoons depicting someone expressing outrage at attacks on Israel, while another calmly listed what was being said blaming Israel for the situation.
“This is not about Hamas – this is about the right of the Palestinian people to resist 75 years of Israeli settlers occupying their original land,” one of the cartoons read.

The paraglider post was blasted by social media users.
“Stand unapologetically with butchers and rapists,” author and former speechwriter Aviva Klompas tweeted.
“Chicago’s BLM, like many on the left, comes out in support of the slaughter of innocent people they don’t like,” GOP commentator and former congressional candidate Robby Starbuck tweeted.

One more user tweets: “This is absolutely disgusting and disgraceful on so many levels.”
Chicago’s BLM is far from the only left-leaning US organization to speak out against Israel after its civilians are killed in the streets.

Former Harvard University president Larry Summers, who served as an adviser to President Barack Obama, spoke out against the letter and the school administration’s continued silence.
“The silence from Harvard’s leadership, thus far, coupled with the vocal and widely reported statements of student groups that blame Israel alone, has allowed Harvard to appear completely neutral toward acts of terrorism against the Jewish state of Israel,” he wrote in a post. on X.
“Instead, Harvard is defined by immoral statements that seem to come from two dozen student groups that blame all violence on Israel,” he continued.
“I hurt.”
