Iranian-American actress Rama Montakhabi wants to settle it with rapper Chrisean Rock because she recently accused the 23-year-old of assaulting her.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, the TV personality, known for starring in the drama series “BMF,” filed an assault lawsuit in California State Superior Court on February 21, 2024.
His charges include battery and emotional distress, which he claims occurred at an after-party at last year’s BET Awards.
Rama Montakhabi Claims He Suffered ‘Extreme Mental Shock’ From Chrisean Rock
Montakhabi filed a complaint for several damages allegedly committed by the “Lonely” artist. Through his attorney, he filed five serious charges against Rock and the Zeus Network, the platform responsible for the rapper’s reality series “Baddies.”
The actress accused them of “battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and negligence.” He recalled an alleged horrific experience with Rock that occurred on or about June 26, 2023, at the BET Awards/CMG After Party.
Although Montakhabi did not share the full details of what happened between them, he insisted the incident was brutal and happened without any provocation. His memory, according to the document, read:
“Defendant CHRISEAN ROCK willfully, willfully, and maliciously, without provocation and without Plaintiff’s consent, beat, assaulted, assaulted, beat, tortured and imprisoned Plaintiff.”
The Iranian-American entertainer slammed Rock’s actions as “unlawful” and claimed he deliberately tried to leave her with serious injuries. Rock’s alleged assault left him with not only physical wounds but also emotional scars.
“As a direct and proximate result of the Defendant’s conduct, the plaintiff suffered extreme mental shock and physical pain and suffering,” the legal document claims, noting Montakhabi is entitled to punitive damages from the malicious attack.

As for why Zeus Network was dragged into the matter, the lawsuit explained it was in relation to their connection to Rock. Montakhabi believes those who injured him were “employers, employees, co-conspirators, and/or agents of each other.” The document adds:
“In doing what is alleged in this matter [complaint] acting in the course and scope of such joint agency, employment, or conspiracy at the time of the incident herein complained of.”
Montakhabi accused the company of negligence over the alleged assault by one of their stars and held them accountable for Rock’s actions. The lawsuit asserts that they breached their “duty of care” and thereby caused the actor mental and physical injury in addition to “sorrow, humiliation, and distress.”
Zeus Network is accused of failing to adequately supervise Rock and not warning the Iranian-American star of their client’s “dangerous tendencies”. Because of the pain he suffered from their alleged negligence and the rapper’s abuse, Montakhabi wants compensation for some damages.
His list includes medical and incidental expenses, general damages, loss of earning capacity as a result of the assault, his attorney’s fees and the cost of processing the lawsuit. Montakhabi is also asking for compensation for punitive and exemplary damages and whatever relief the court deems necessary for his case.
