Kelly Rizzo’s heart is so heavy again because of her dog’s declining health.
The tragedy that struck cooking fans before was the death of her husband, Bob Saget, who was sadly found dead in his hotel room in Orlando on January 9, 2022, after performing. Reportedly, a head injury was the cause of death of the “Full House” actor.
Since the comedian’s passing, his widow has found solace by sharing her grief with thousands of Instagram followers. No wonder he uses the same medium to pray for his sick pets.

Rizzo took to her Instagram Story, wearing a white V-neck blouse that showed off her gold pendant. She finished off her look with smokey eye makeup and toned blonde hair, which matched the vibe of her tiny hoop earrings. The clip also has a collage of dog images on it.
The 43-year-old broke the news of his sick pet, expressing his disappointment saying, “It’s been a day. Many of you don’t know, but I have a dog; her name is Hilo.”
Rizzo explained that the pet lives in Chicago with his sister, Kimmy, and brother-in-law, Dante. She called the couple “great” caregivers for helping Hilo since she moved to Los Angeles. In her words, she said, “Kimmy has truly been an angel to my dog since I moved to LA.”
She noted that her dog had visited the hospital frequently over the years due to heart failure. Distressed pet owners claim that Hilo is given a limited time to live. However, he called her “a fighter.”
He continued, “Two and a half years ago, they gave him between six and twelve months to live, and he’s a fighter.”
Unfortunately, her dog’s health challenges worsened, and Rizzo revealed the furry pet was taken to the vet for a possible put down. In the closing part of his statement, with raw emotion, Rizzo asked for help from his fans, saying, “He may not have much time left, so if you could say a little prayer for Hilo and comfort. That would be very, very good.”

In The Blast, Rizzo commemorated the first anniversary of Saget’s death by writing a moving tribute to her beloved husband, describing how she felt after navigating his sudden departure.
Alongside a reel of precious moments she shared with the late comedian set against the backdrop of “The Luckiest” by Ben Folds, the heartbroken widow poured her heart out. “One year. Our hearts are so heavy. How could I not talk to or see my beloved husband all year? Real existence never subsides,” Rizzo’s tribute began.
He continued, “I accepted reality a long time ago, but it still doesn’t seem real when I see photos or videos of him being so full of life. But there’s one thing I carry with me every day that makes this bearable. I AM THE LUCKIEST ONE .”
The celebrity blogger said she was “the luckiest” to be Saget’s wife and “lived with his warmth, and his laughter, and his brilliance, and his love.” He expressed his joy at being close to the “Dirty Jobs” actor’s daughter as he watched her help others first hand.
“Some people can live 1,000 lives and never live life as fully as he did. And for that I have to say, Well done. You really won life, baby. And that’s why I will be forever grateful for him and all the endless love he gave me, until my last day,” Rizzo concluded his heartfelt message.

Looking back on that time, she shared, “I really didn’t think our first Christmas together (in the same city) last year would be our last. (it was the first year he came to Chicago to spend Christmas with my family with my beautiful stepdaughter, Lara).”
However, the grieving wife was “overjoyed” to experience those special moments with the late actor and mentioned that he brought warmth to her life and everyone around her.
