Bodhisattva Sharma was born on Tuesday, September 23, 2003 (age 20; in 2023) in Assam, India. His zodiac sign is Libra. At the age of 5, he moved to New Delhi with his family.
He continued his schooling at Barakhamba Road Modern School in New Delhi. Later, he continued his studies in the field of English Literature at the Indira Gandhi National Open University. During her teenage years, she moved to Mumbai to pursue acting. Talking about moving to Mumbai, in an interview, she claimed that her aim was only to get a good job and not to chase fame. He said,
I did not come to Mumbai with the dream of becoming a superstar. Finding popularity is never the goal. It can be a byproduct. Good work is what I like to pursue.”

Theater
At the age of 10, Bodhisattva Sharma started acting, when he was in the fourth grade, he was cast for a role in an Assamese theater play while he was there to attend his brother’s drama training. After that, he found his interest in acting and joined a theater group in Delhi called Little Theater Group. He acted in many productions for theater groups and also received many travel fellowships to perform in various states of India.
Web Series
During one of his theater group’s training sessions, Bodhisattva Sharma was cast for the character of Siddharth Chaudhary in the web series Paatal Lok (2020). He made his debut in the OTT platform with Paatal Lok.
In 2021, he appeared in the web series Candy (2021) on Voot Originals as Imran Ahmed. He also appeared in Rana Naidu (2023) as Rehaan.
Movie
Bodhisattva Sharma made his film debut with the Bollywood film Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2 – Agni Pariksha. He played the role of Basheshwar Thakur or Bacchu in the film. In 2024, he appeared as the lead actor in the Bollywood film All India Rank. He plays the role of Vivek, a 17-year-old IIT aspirant.
The film was screened at various film festivals around the world including the Rotterdam International Film Festival, the Dharamshala International Film Festival and the Mumbai Film Festival, where the role of Bodhisattva was admired by many. In an interview, Bodhisattva revealed that since he had never been to Kota, so to prepare for the role, he took help from his relatives and friends who studied in Kota. He said,
I didn’t have any direct friends who had gone to Kota to prepare for the IIT entrance exam, so I talked to friends of friends. They told me about their experiences and shared pictures. I watch a lot of old Hindi movies; Varun sir told me to check many old Limca ads. Then there are the many movie recommendations, from The Breakfast Club to The 400 Blows. I decided Vivek’s favorite film to be Masoom.”

- In 2023, while preparing for his role in the Bollywood film All India Rank (2024), Bodhisattva went through a crash course in eleventh and twelfth grade math and science courses. He was taught by Vaibhav Varun.
- According to Bodhisattva, he is a huge fan of Varun Grover and admires his work a lot and always aspires to work with him. He said,
My mother introduced me to Varun Sir’s stand up comedy. He is a big fan, he made me watch Masaan, written by Varun Sir. I fell in love with the movie. I have watched the show Sacred Games but didn’t know that Varun Sir co-wrote it. When I came to know that he also wrote songs for films like Gangs of Wasseypur and Udta Punjab, I was even more impressed.”
