Brandon Routh enjoyed the original Quantum Leap series.

Routh expressed her gratitude for being a part of NBC’s Quantum Leap reboot, revealing in a statement that she was a huge fan of the original program growing up. He said:

“Growing up at Quantum Leap, it was a privilege to play such an important role in Addison’s life! Ray [Lee] and Caitlin [Bassett] is a great team, and I enjoy being a part of it. It was also amazing for me as an Iowan to shoot aboard the USS Iowa!”

Raymond Lee, the show’s creator, has already hinted at what to expect in the upcoming episodes.

He told TV Line in an interview:

“Addison probably finds some closure with her father in a lot of ways. It’s a great dynamic because I’m directly under her authority for the duration of the show. He sometimes plays the father-in-law role for me. There’s that energy, and we’re more accepting of that. “

He described the upcoming episode as “short and cinematic,” and added:

“We have a lot of drone footage there. Being on an operational warship is also an interesting sight to see.”

Routh has played The Atom in episodes of The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Batwoman, as well as Superman Returns, Dylan Dog: Dead of Night and Legends of Tomorrow. He appeared in many programs, including The Rookie, Black-ish, Chuck, and One Life to Live.

It went on to say:

“Everything changes, however, when Ben takes an unapproved leap into the past, leaving the crew to find out why. Throughout his jump, Ben is accompanied by Addison (Caitlin Bassett), who appears as a hologram that only Ben can see and hear.
