A brave 4-year-old British boy is being hailed as a hero after he called police and performed CPR on his unconscious mother — saving her life.
In newly released audio from a call to 999 — the UK version of 911 — Daisy Hamer can be heard telling operators, “Mummy’s not breathing” when Aimee Hamer collapsed last year and using the phonetic alphabet to direct emergency services to her home.
Aimee started feeling unwell around 2pm on May 23, 2022, and decided to sleep with her young daughter, SWNS reported.
The mother gave her daughter her cell phone so she could watch a YouTube video, but Daisy ended up using the phone to call the police.
“My mummy passed out. He’s not talking to me,” Daisy told authorities in a 999 call.
“My mummy isn’t breathing.”
When an operator on the other end started asking questions about her mother’s condition, Daisy was able to answer all the questions and follow the instructions given to her.
He also performed CPR when his mother became unresponsive and stopped breathing — with the help of his 2-year-old sister, Molly.

When she was asked to tilt her mother’s head back to clear the airway, Daisy was heard saying, “Molly’s doing it, my little sister. He is only 2 years old.”
Together, they were able to get their mother – who had chronic heart disease, vitamin deficiencies and iron-deficiency anemia – to breathe again.
“Mummy’s up,” Daisy told the operator in the 999 call.
The young girl now says she wants to be a paramedic or a surgeon when she gets older, her mother said.
Aimee explained that because of her health issues, she was eager to teach her four children how to contact the local authorities in case of an emergency.

“I teach Daisy and my other children the phonetic alphabet by making rhymes out of our postcodes to make it fun and memorable,” she said.
She went on to say: “Although I’ve had other funny rounds before, the kids are never alone with me, because my husband is there to call 999, but Daisy is always involved by taking cushions and blankets.
“I always knew there was a chance that one day I would pass out or pass out in front of the children while my husband was away, which is why I taught them how to call 999 and not be afraid to do so in an emergency.”
Aimee also said the only thing she remembers from the incident is “going to bed feeling unwell, and the next minute there was an ambulance crew, the police and one of our neighbors in my bedroom.
“Daisy is amazing, and so mature for her age,” he added.

On Tuesday, the young girl, now 5, received an award for her bravery from East Midlands Ambulance Service.
“Having a young, confident child caller is pretty rare, especially when it comes to phonetically giving the postcode of their address,” paramedic Phillip Rowe said at a ceremony at his school.
“Daisy did an amazing job of helping us find the property, and then being able to tell us when we arrived about the medical conditions [her mother] live together
“We gave Aimee oxygen when we arrived on the scene, which managed to revive her, and then we gave her further treatment on the way to hospital.”
Meanwhile, in the US, a 14-year-old boy desperately tried to perform CPR on his mother after she was shot outside her home in Chicago last week.
Unfortunately, the teenager did not make it and Maria Roque, 34, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Police said shortly before 6:30 a.m. Dec. 13, Roque was shot multiple times in front of her home — as her children, ages 8 and 14, watched their mother take her last breath, CBS News reported.
The gunman allegedly approached Roque as he put his 8-year-old daughter in the car.
Roque’s twin brother, Andres, also said one of the children was in the car and the other “heard the shots, and saw his own mother on the stairs, trying to breathe and she was doing CPR.
“That’s the scariest thing,” he said.
When Andres arrived at the hospital later, he recounted hearing his nephew “crying and saying, ‘I’m trying to save him.'”
Her cousin Maritza Galves-Hernandez also claimed Roque’s daughter was “very numb” and “now scared, looking for Mom [asking]’Where’s Mom?’” he told the Chicago Sun-Times.

The family claims Roque was shot by an abusive ex-boyfriend, against whom she received multiple orders of protection.
The unidentified ex reportedly violated the protection order just a day before the murder, and another was granted just hours before Roque was shot and killed, CBS News reported.
His family and friends say they have lost faith in the justice system meant to protect him.
“A piece of paper will not save a life,” said Roque’s best friend, Mari Duran. “As you can see, Maria is not here and the paper did not save her.”
They remembered the mother-of-two during a weekend vigil as a loving parent, who tried not to let her ex get close to her.
“He’s one of those guys who brushes it off like, ‘It’s going to be OK, it’s going to be OK,'” Duran said.
He went on to describe his friend as a “giver” who “wears his heart on his sleeve.”
“You’d never know he’s been through the things he’s been through, the nightmares he’s been through.”

An online fundraiser for the family also said Roque was a hard-working mother who was “dedicated to her health, fitness and career.”
“Recently Maria has taken a bold step towards escaping from a dangerous situation, hoping to bring herself and her children to greater safety and security,” he said.
“Love him as [a] mothers, selflessness, honor and courage will continue to be celebrated.”
Roque’s death remains under investigation, Chicago police told The Post, adding that it appears to be “domestic related.”
