The actor appeared on the podcast this week, revealing everything from his career to parenting his 21-year-old son, who is openly gay, and his interesting relationship. Green recently announced on his podcast that he popped the question to his longtime girlfriend in the most surprising and romantic proposal ever.

The 50-year-old hopped into the recording booth with NSYNC’s Lance Bass to catch up on the past and was quite vocal about bringing up his eldest son, Kassius Lijah Marcil-Green, who recently came out as gay. Bass heaped praise on the actress for her incredible parenting techniques and open-mindedness and said:
“He’s so lucky to be in your family because a lot of kids out there don’t understand that. And even if their parents accept them, there are many times when the child still knows that they still do not agree with him.

For the “90210” actor, things remain entirely the same, as he detailed the process of accepting Kassius’ sexual preferences on the iHeartRadio podcast saying:
“I’m going into this conservation with Kash where I really want to understand things that seem so different to me at first. And then you realize, ‘Oh, this isn’t different at all.’ It’s just your partner’s choice. It doesn’t affect me at all.”
Green revealed that she doesn’t give room for bullying or unnecessary opinions towards her son, adding, “And that’s the thing I always try to get people to attack now — it doesn’t affect you. Why do you care so much? And why are you trying to bully your feelings and opinions into something that doesn’t affect you at all?”
The newly engaged actress described the experience as interesting, a different reaction to what most people feel. “I think a lot of people are afraid of the unknown, but I’m not. To me, it’s interesting. And I want to learn about it,” shared the “Cross” actor.
His fiancee, Sharna Burgess, also confirmed his parenting prowess in a lengthy birthday tribute on Instagram in July. He described Green as “the kind of father I only dream of (and I do) for my children.” she added that she was “happy to be wherever you and the kids are.”
The actress, who has five children from past and current relationships, discussed parenting with a large blended family on the “Quite Frankly” podcast in April 2023. Per PEOPLEGreen shares that her amazing children make the whole parenting process easy as she says:

He also recruits them to help with his romantic proposal to Burgess. Green welcomed Kassis in March 2022 with his girlfriend, Vanessa Marcil. He later welcomed Noah Shannon Green, Bodhi Ransom Green, and Journey River Green with actress Megan Fox before divorcing in March 2020.

According to The Blast, Green recalled thinking the party was the perfect place for him and the kids to move. The former ‘DWTS” contestant couldn’t hide her excitement as she detailed the series of events that led to her big moment with co-star Randy Spelling. She said:
“The children came in with him. Noah is holding Zane, and Journey is holding this little red Cartier box. And they all went in there, and they stood next to Brian..He took the box from Journey, and he said, ‘Will you spend the rest of your life with us?’. I just looked at him like, I can’t believe this is really happening.”
The “So You Think You Can Dance’ alum adored the children’s role in the proposal as she called them “our unit, our tribe.”
