Brian Austin Green couldn’t be prouder of Ian Ziering, who bravely defended himself against a biker gang on New Year’s Eve.
The “Beverly Hills, 90210” star recently weighed in on her former co-star’s incredible accomplishments, voicing her support for Ziering and her fighting skills. The latter, unfortunately, ended 2023 on a low note following heated meetings with several attackers.
Brian Austin Green Praises Ian Ziering After NYE Meeting
Shortly after Ziering opened up about her unfortunate New Year’s Eve experience, Green addressed the matter on her Instagram Story. The actor filmed himself driving, telling viewers how proud he was of his friend’s success against the odds.
“Hey, so I didn’t get a chance to get involved at all. My son, Ian Ziering fought on Hollywood Boulevard with five guys, and I like to beat them, do it, do his job,” he said before showering Ziering with praise. In Green’s words:
“He’s a monster. He’s very fit, obviously. I wouldn’t suggest to anyone to fight people, especially not now in this climate. But, you know what? Everything is going well. Z, I love you, brother, you beast; good for you.”

While Green proudly showered his friend with love, Ziering took a humble stance as he recalled his fight against the biker gang. She was driving with one of her two daughters when their vehicle was unfortunately hit in the middle of traffic.
“Yesterday, I experienced an alarming incident involving a group of individuals riding a mini bike,” said the father of two in an Instagram post. “While stuck in traffic, my car was aggressively approached by one of these riders, causing an unsettling confrontation.”
“In an attempt to assess any damage, I got out of my car. This action, unfortunately, escalated into a physical altercation, which I steered away from to protect myself,” she continued, noting that she and her daughter escaped the frightening situation safely.
Ziering insists that the encounter left a lasting impression on his mind, and he worries about the poor street conditions with these violent groups in general. In his words:
“I am relieved to report that my daughter and I were both unharmed, but the incident makes me very concerned about the growing audacity of such a group that disturbs public safety and peace.”

“This situation highlights the larger issue of hooliganism on our streets and the need for an effective law enforcement response to such behavior,” Ziering declared. “As a citizen and parent, I find it unacceptable that groups can freely engage in this kind of behavior, causing fear and chaos, while the response from the authorities seems inadequate.”
The 59-year-old added that he has always “been an advocate against intimidation and misbehavior” and that the fight with a biker gang reinforced his “belief in the importance of personal and community safety.”
True to his words, the video from the incident recorded Ziering’s car surrounded by a group of motorcyclists. After exiting his vehicle, the actor engaged in a heated exchange with one of the motorcyclists, leading to a physical fight.
He was also seen comforting his daughter, who appeared shocked by the violent encounter. Ziering went on to plead with authorities to step up their game in his video, imploring them to “address the underlying issues that lead to disruptive behavior and keep our streets safe for everyone.”

A year before his New Year’s Eve fight, Ziering finalized his separation from his ex-wife, Erin Kristine Ludwig. The Blast obtained the former couple’s 2022 divorce settlement, revealing how they divided their assets.
Ziering was told to pay a tax-free sum of $362,500, which would divide the ex-spouses’ property and community assets. According to their agreement, the actor will keep several guns in his collection, including a Dan Wesson revolver, a Sig Sauer 229, and a Remmington Shotgun.
The “Sharknado” star maintains ownership of a 1960 Corvette and a timeshare in Cabo San Lucas. Also, she had to keep the proceeds from the sale of her ex’s engagement ring because she owned the jewelry before the two of them met.
As for the profits he made from acting, Ziering was allowed to keep leftovers from his “90210” days; however, his ex-wife will share in the money brought in by new projects like “Sharknado.” The solution reads:
“All contractual rights and/or obligations, including but not limited to rights to all sequels, earnings and/or residuals for films, television shows, cartoons and/or other acting/entertainment works resulting in any future rights being settled before May 28, 2010 (marriage date).”
