Singer Britney Spears denied that she went to a birthday party over the weekend, despite posing with BFF Paris Hilton.
There have been conspiracy theories floating around the web for the past few months that claim the 41-year-old pop star is actually dead due to the amount of old photos and videos she has posted.
Fans were relieved to hear reports that came in over the weekend that Britney had actually stepped out for Cade Hudson’s birthday party, but on Monday, the “Toxic” singer took to Instagram to claim that the photos were “from last year.”

On Monday night, the “Hold Me Closer” singer took to Instagram to share a 42-second clip featuring her posing in a strapless red dress and tiny red skirt. The crop top reads “Coca-Cola” across the top in her signature white lettering.
Britney sets the music in the video to Normani’s “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B and bobs in the video, shifting her hips from side to side. At one point, she puts on aviator glasses and tries to do a disco while swaying in her white knee-high boots.
“Sorry about my post yesterday without music ? !!! That was horrible ??? … oh well !!!” Britney began, referring to one of her deleted dance videos. “Here I am going through my closet to realize the clothes I never wear!!! I’m a practical shopper but I was really surprised by the closest thing and I found !!!”

He then moved on to a topic of interest: birthday party photos. “Also don’t know about my pic from the birthday party… I’ve never been to a birthday party in forever!!!” Britney wrote. “And for those pictures, they must be from the past years !!! It’s kind of creepy and weird that no one is talking about that … makes no sense at all !!!”
She ended her post by revealing that she had “more” fashion videos to share with her followers, writing, “Anyway, here I am model RED dress number 1 !!! That means there’s still a long way to go … 7 is my favorite ? ! !! I will SHARE with you loved ones !!!”
However, fans are more concerned with the fact that she denied attending Cade Hudson’s birthday party when several sources said she did.

On Sunday, January 8, TMZ was the first to report that Britney and Paris Hilton were photographed at agent Cade Hudson’s 36th birthday party. The star-studded gathering was hosted at The Park in Santa Monica and there were plenty of paparazzi around to snap photos of the occasion. Sources say that Paris and Britney spent the entire night together, with singer Kelsea Ballerini performing several songs.
Other celebrities who reportedly attended the party were actor Robert Pattinson, comedian Jeff Ross, actor Edward Norton, model Suki Waterhouse, actress Hayden Panettiere, comedian Tiffany Haddish, actress Emma Roberts, actor James Marsden, and singer Demi Lovato, among others.
The most surprising thing to mention is that if Britney’s claims are true, why would Paris Hilton post an old photo of her friend on Instagram?

Two days ago, the “Stars Are Blind” singer shared a lengthy tribute to Cade Hudson to celebrate his birthday. She also attached an entire Instagram carousel full of pictures of the stars, including one featuring Britney and Cade posing together for a photo.

We always have the best time!” she wrote in the caption. “You always make me laugh.? You are so much fun and you have a heart of gold.❤️? Thank you for always being a loyal and true friend.? Fans wondered if Britney had been photoshopped into the photo given the low quality image. Paris took to the comments to clarify, “To all those asking. Some of these photos are taken on an iPhone so they end up being blurry.” He added, “So they use this app called Remini to make it look unblurred and sometimes Ai distorts the image. Don’t want to dignify this with an answer. But some of these conspiracy theories are completely ridiculous.”
Fans went back and forth over whether or not Britney was photographed in the photo for some time, forcing Paris to eventually shut down comments on the post entirely. However, it still does not answer the question of why Britney would deny going to the birthday party.
