Britney Spears DOES Mention Christina Aguilera In Her Memoir ‘The Woman In Me’

Singer Christina Aguilera didn’t want to be mentioned in Britney Spears’ memoir “The Woman In Me” but she’s still there!

Her former “The Mickey Mouse Club” co-star was hoping Britney wouldn’t call him out in her memoir, but it looks like she’s in there anyway!

Although she mentioned the singer “Candyman” in her memoirs, Britney Spears focused more on her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, whom she dated from 1999 to 2002. She recalled seeing the cover of Rolling Stone with them and felt that Justin was making “sexy eyes” to him.

In the June 2003 issue of Rolling Stone ahead of their joint tour, Christina told the outlet, “She and Britney make a great couple. I’ve known them both ever since. [Mickey Mouse Club]and they also used to love their little feelings back then.”

“Britney has known him for a long time too – before he was Justin Timberlake, the star, when he was just Justin, the kid at the Mickey Mouse Club,” he continued. “I don’t know, I have a feeling that there will be some reconciliation. I know that they talk and everything, and it’s great. I don’t think it’s over yet.”

While Justin did not respond to rumors that he and the “Toxic” singer were hooking up again, he did address claims that he had started dating the “Genie In A Bottle” singer. “We have been rumored to be in a relationship, which is so far away. We are two very platonic people,” he said at the time. “You know, I can’t say we’re best friends, we don’t hang out all the time, but that’s more or less because of what we do, and his schedule is crazy.”

An insider told Us Weekly that Britney called her comments “confusing” in her memoir, especially since they’re often compared and contrasted in the media.

In 2004, the “Lady Marmalade” singer told Blender magazine “Every time I try to start a conversation with him — well, let’s just say he looks nervous the whole time,” during rehearsals at the MTV Video Music Awards. “She seemed to me like a lost little girl, someone who [desperately] need guidance,” he added.

In her own interview with Blender that year, Britney responded by saying, “When someone’s been mean to you so many times, it’s like, ‘You know, Christina, I’m really not about fake anymore.’

Over the years, it seems the two have reconciled. During a January 2022 appearance on The Enrique Santos Show, according to the outlet, the “Hurt” singer said, “I want [speak to Britney]I will always be open to that.”

“It’s a subject that I definitely want to be careful about because I never want to talk one-sidedly about someone I respect and admire so much. But, I am very happy [for her],” he added.

On Monday night, the “Can’t Hold Us Down” singer appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to talk about her upcoming Las Vegas Residency.

During the interview, host Jimmy Kimmel asked her if Britney ever contacted her to discuss her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” and if she was mentioned at all in the pages of the book.

“Brother, I don’t know. I don’t know,” she replied, admitting that even though they both grew up together on “The Mickey Mouse Club,” the two pop stars haven’t been in touch with each other for a while.

“I hope all is well with him. Everything is beautiful,” he said, adding, “The future should be celebrated.”

Jimmy then asked her, “If you had to choose between being in it and not being in it?”

Christina asked, “I mean, really? Really?”

“I’d like to be in it,” Jimmy confesses, to which Christina replies, “Maybe you’ll be in it. Listen, I like you more than me.”

Britney mentioned Christina Aguilera again only briefly when she discussed her start on “The Mickey Mouse Club” in 1993 and her first kiss with Justin Timberlake.

Britney Spears’ memoir “The Woman In Me” is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
