According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the school filed to dismiss the suit on August 16. It’s unclear why the school dropped the suit against the couple, but it’s safe to assume there’s a good chance there’s a confidential settlement in the case. .
As The Blast previously reported, the lawsuit was originally filed on May 9, 2023. They claim the last time they received payment from the couple was several years earlier, on or about May 16, 2019. The school claims the couple owes nearly $16,000 in tuition for their two children.
With the family’s recent move to Hawaii, it seems unlikely that the couple’s two young children are still attending school in California, which may be one of the reasons why the school decided to drop the lawsuit.
