Actor Sam Asghari is getting slammed by fans of pop star Britney Spears who are not fans of what the 29-year-old actor posted on Instagram Thursday night.
Although many celebrities volunteer at different charity events, they usually do not “advertise” their philanthropy. The “Special Ops: Lioness” actress, however, shared video footage of her charity work and even aired it on TV, which users claimed was “poor in taste.”

On Thursday night, the 29-year-old actor took to Instagram to reveal that he spent his first Thanksgiving without Britney Spears doing volunteer work.
“@projectangelfood thank you for giving me the opportunity to feed the angels with you on Thanksgiving,” he captioned a video of him cutting food in a bright blue baseball cap and polo. However, many are not impressed.
“Why are you bragging about your volunteer work?? Nonsense,” commented one user. “At least he’s one of the guys doing something,” responded another fan. “He has a huge platform and continues to influence many people. Why do you complain about someone’s big heart? Shouldn’t you say thank you now or something instead of being bitter?” another follower asked.

“Perhaps he shows that holidays can actually give and help others. Have you ever thought about that?” asked another fan. “It raises awareness of the cause and raises the profile of the charity. Any charity would encourage this kind of promotion,” said another user. “Hopefully it’s enough for other people who have influence and means to help, to actually do something,” shared another fan.
“Volunteering is a compassionate thing to do. You should be ashamed of yourself for your comment. We need more volunteers out there. You are very self-important & rude. If you don’t like it, don’t comment. Or unfollow him!!!” shouted another follower. Despite the number of fans defending him in the comments, it did not stop the criticism.

“Britney’s knife skills are better,” commented one user. “I know he taught her those knife skills,” wrote another follower. “It’s a joke because she posted a video of herself cutting bell peppers in a stupid way,” a third fan chimed in, though another thought it might be a reference to Britney’s viral knife dance video.
Following her viral September 2023 Instagram video featuring her dancing with a knife, Britney took to Instagram on October 1 to assure her followers that the knives were in fact fake, although many were concerned about the “clinking” sound they made when she hit them together.
“I know I scared everyone with the last post, but this is a fake knife that my team rented from the Hand Prop store in LA. This is not a real knife,” he wrote in the caption. “Nobody needs to worry or call the police. I tried to imitate one of my favorite performers Shakira … a performance that inspired me !!! Congratulations to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks ??????!”

Britney first started “playing” with knives in a video she claimed was in preparation for Halloween. “I started playing in the kitchen with knives today ??♀️??♀️??♀️ !!! Don’t worry they are NOT real knives !!! Halloween is coming soon ??? !!!” she wrote in the caption of her first Instagram video. However, she posted a follow-up video showing her dancing in bandages which led some concerned fans to call the police to investigate with a welfare check.
“Is it a joke in the news again with the health check??? Come on America … we’re better than that, aren’t we???” she wrote in the caption of another Instagram post. “Officers came to my house and said they wouldn’t leave until they talked to me when people did a 4-minute show with them.”
He stated that he got an apology before going on to say, “I’ve been bullied in my house for so long…ENOUGH! Don’t talk about it, come on, let’s DO it!!! Since my mom does the silent treatment when the paps ask questions about her own daughter as if I’m wrong…nope, that’s the old game. People need to be responsible for their actions! This is about power for the police.”
