In a resurfaced interview with Entertainment Weekly, Timbaland said that Britney was “so big-headed” and said that he needs to apologize if he wants to work with her or Justin Timberlake in the future.
“She should humble herself,” Timbaland said at the time, which didn’t go down well with fans who didn’t understand why Britney had to apologize to Justin after he pressured her into an abortion when they dated from 1999 to 2002.

On Tuesday night, Timbaland appeared on TikTok Live to make an apology that didn’t seem like an apology to those who heard it. After promising to “save a thousand,” Timbaland said, “I’m sorry to all Britney fans, even to her. If she’s never seen… I’m sorry because the nozzle is… no. You have a voice and you say what you want to talk. Who am I to tell you not to talk and I’m wrong for saying that but I hope you look at it from… I look at it from a different lens.”
“What I have is a conciliator. I’m not a taker as I’m trying to incorporate in this. Let’s compromise. I see one thing. Did you see this? Can we all come to an agreement to say this is that and that is this. That’s how I am. So,” he concluded. “I’m sorry to Britney’s fans and her and yeah, you know, about respecting women, h— yeah.”
